Hewitt Road. Our design for this victorian property enhances the period features and brings it bang up to date for modern life. Play, Unwind, Entertain – A family home to thrive in. A refined palette brings a touch of Parisienne chic to this London family home, contrasting industrial elements with our own touch of decorative minimalism.
2LG Studio (Jordan Cluroe and Russell Whitehead) are at it again with eye popping, unique colour schemes and continue to bring some modern vitality to London homes.

Colour kaleidoscope

Colour and pattern and texture mixed with design classics and the local culture. It should be chaos but in the deft hands of the designers, it’s a triumphant kaleidoscope of personality and style. Mexico City residence by New York-based RP Miller.

A wonderful riot of colour and pattern, materials and art, vintage and bespoke. From a yellow spiral staircase to a library with not only books but cacti the home is packed with personality and fun. I would happily move in right now. Hill House Four by The Archers.

Hot gardening

Sophisticated and sexy xeriscaping is not something I thought I’d be sharing on Desire to Inspire but this Californian garden by TERREMOTO is not only environmentally sensible it references the area’s history and it’s fabulous. Think reducing your amount of turf space, installing drought-tolerant plants, and adding more shade elements to reduce the amount of water needed then think hot (no not temperature) and chic. It’s got it all.

Casa Santa Magdalena

Posted on Fri, 9 Dec 2022 by midcenturyjo

Rising like a dream above clouds of white flowers is Casa Santa Magdalena in Menorca, Spain. Rustic yet sophisticated, a celebration of natural materials and the history of the building by Paris-based Argentinian architect Luis Laplace who delights in the juxtaposition of tradition and craft with pops of modern. A dream house I’d never want to leave.
