Interior design and art, the two great passions of Juan Moreno López-Calull of John Brown Projects. This Barcelona apartment with its contemporary clean lines, wonderful light and city views is elevated by the choice of modern sculpture and large art works. It’s the perfect example is big is good, cluttered is a bother.
Glin Castle is an incredible 20,000 square foot, 14th century, 18-bedroom, 18-bath Georgian house in Ireland owned by actor Dominic West, his wife Catherine Fitzgerald and 2 of her sisters (having been in their family since it’s creation). They have lovingly restored the castle and used it as a retreat, but now it’s available to book privately. What an absolutely breathtaking piece of history. “This home is a story of perfect couplings and the beautiful interplay of individual dynamics. A quietly relaxed husband and a vibrant, out-there wife. A grand 1930s bay-side abode and a contemporary renovation. Honouring the building’s heritage and writing a new chapter.”
From classic details to family fun, old house, new extension and pool house folly. From luxury materials to clean, contemporary lines. The stand out for me? Why those Palladiana Terrazzo Mosaic floors! By Melbourne-based Interior Atelier Sally Caroline.

Giancarlo Valle of the eponymous Studio Giancarlo Valle is arguably one of our favourite designers. A strong design aesthetic, an assured use of colour, a wonderful sense of light and shade, space and void. This Soho Townhouse has been taken from bland and boring new build to a home full of colour and character, style and daring.

This stunning property owned in the small town of Noto, in the south of Sicily is 330 sq m with 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms and is owned and designed by Jacques Garcia and available to rent. The Maison des Oliviers, located on a World Heritage site, is surrounded by numerous olive trees dating back two thousand years. The Villa, surrounded in this landscape, evokes the golden age in the 1950’s Café Society and an aristocracy which embraced modernity while remaining linked to the past. Upon entering the villa, the collection of art and objects will transport you into the culture of the 20th century. One can imagine seeing Maria Callas chatting with Jackie Kennedy, being hosted by Gianni Agnelli.
