I have serious bedroom envy after finding this new location home on Shoot Factory so I had to spread the love with you all. I want the bed soooooo badly. But I’d paint it black. And the wooden legs holding up the mattress. The rest of this home is pretty fabulous too. Those crown moldings are what dreams are made of.
French designer Mathieu Lehanneur is a magician. Who else can conjure up liquid marble, ripples in stone? At least that is how it seems. It’s art. It’s design. Concept versus reality, poetry versus science. No limits. Just let your imagination run away to his marble bedroom in the Hotel de la Monnaie for AD Intérieurs 2017.
I spotted this Copenhagen apartment on Skönahem and had to share because it features some of my favourite things, like bold graphic artwork and an eclectic mix of antique and mid-century furnishings. And that bedroom is so sooooooooo pretty.
The client wanted a whole home refresh without doing a major remodel. The team at Heidi Caillier Design redesigned the house with new furnishings, wall coverings, carpet and paint. The mix of old and new, the play of pattern and colour, the layering of textures and materials all create a home that is comfortable and livable, beautiful and curated. I don’t know what I love more, the many discreet sitting areas or the richly layered bedrooms.
When technology is good it’s very, very good but when technology goes bad well let’s just say I’m still typing with my fat fingers on an antiquated iPhone 6. At least I feel my blood pressure lowering as I revel in the russet loveliness of the headboard in the bedroom of this apartment by London-based No12 Studio.
