Is it wrong to daydream that this is my apartment? No? I didn’t think so. Upper West Side Apartment by Space Exploration.

Built in 1707, this Queen Anne country house in Oxfordshire is home to designer Samantha Todhunter who designed it with many unexpected and magnificent touches that add to its charm. Staircase walls lined with turquoise paperbacked silk, with the stairs covered in Diane von Furstenberg’s ‘Climbing Leopard’ carpet, Phillip Jeffries red grasscloth paper in the drawing room, kitchen cabinetry in one of my favourite colurs – Farrow & Ball’s Setting Plaster, a glossy dark blue study and the list goes on. Alpine fusion

Electric Bowery reimagined a mountainside ski home, merging Alpine Chalet charm with Japanese Ryokan elements. Earthy tones mirror the high mountain desert hues with evergreen-tinged soapstone, cedar walls, Japanese tile and dark limestone flooring. Charlotte Perriand influenced lattice-work separates the kitchen from the dining area with its bespoke lighting and artisan ceramics. In the living room, floor-to-ceiling windows embrace the panoramic view. Bedrooms boasted unique touches like a cedar Japanese soaking tub and vibrant clay ceilings. A blend of timeless design and cultural fusion in Utah’s Deer Valley.

Casa Soleto offers a truly authentic experience of the village life in the heart of Salento, Puglia. The noble palazzotto has been lovingly restored by Studio Andrew Trotter and Marcelo Martínez. They took time with the renovation to carefully preserve the historic features of the house, while bringing it into the twenty-first century. Having kept most of the original floors, the nonna’s kitchen or the internal doors (two of them being 300 years old), Casa Soleto has all the charm and character you would expect of a house from the seventeenth century. This is a truly authentic experience. A haven to relax during your trip. A barefoot luxury.
This minimal vacation home is an absolute minimalistic dream. And a study in wonder of lime plaster. Those arches and the architectural detail in the dining room are sooooooo pretty.

Revived vintage gem

Built in 1972 by Joe D’Urso, this East Hamptons house features striking black lining boards on its interior and exterior walls. Interior design studio 2Michaels preserved the original essence, maintaining the staircase, railings, and metal kitchen and bathroom cabinets. They revamped with Ann Sacks fixtures, transforming the kitchen and bathrooms. Shifting from dark industrial carpeting to white oak floors, they curated a bright sunroom, a vibrant contrast to the darker walls, sustaining the indoor-outdoor vibe. Seasons bring natural shifts, with shade from trees in spring and summer, and radiant warmth in fall and winter as sunlight floods the space.
