Gill Renlund

I thought you all might appreciate some Hump Day eye candy. Gill Renlund has my favourite job in the whole world – interior stylist (and food stylist – OMG dream come true!!) and these spaces are magazine quality spaces because of his finishing touches. Lovely spaces – especially this first bedroom. The wall colour is divine.

Beachside blue

A modern take on a coastal decor by Melbourne interior design firm Austin Design Associates. Clean lined with crisp whites, pale woods, limed floors and a fabulous beachside blue kitchen (as well as very Australians dream, the outdoor BBQ kitchen). Stylish family living in Blairgowrie on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula.

Damien Langlois-Meurinne

I regret not titling this post “Lighting porn” as these spaces by French designer Damien Langlois-Meurinne are outfitted with some of the most spectacular lights I have ever seen. And some of them are designed by Damien himself. These rooms are glamorous and luxe, but the lighting takes them to another level. They are pieces of art, making a statement.

Living in the catalogue

Posted on Wed, 11 Feb 2015 by midcenturyjo

OK so you all know I fantasise about living in a shop, creeping out of my hiding place after closing time. Well the same goes for living in a catalogue or in these days of the interwebs living in an online shop. I can just see me now. A virtual bag lady pushing my shopping cart from category to category in a virtual retail wonderland, looking for a place to rest. I’d definitely put my virtual feet up in these amazing product shots for Couleur Locale. Yes please! A girl can daydream.

Jason MacLean’s latest project

Posted on Wed, 4 Feb 2015 by KiM

I was happy to hear from Jason MacLean the other day, as it has been a while since we have featured his interiors and bespoke kitchens. This British designer knocked another kitchen out of the park with a minimalist vibe yet featuring vivid blue bespoke cabinets and a super fun tile floor. The yellow chairs are a striking addition and OMG the lighting! The house was actually completely renovated and also features bespoke wardrobes and Eley Kishimoto wallpapers. Love it! (Previous posts of his work here).
