A modern tropical East Hampton beach house

Posted on Wed, 2 Jun 2021 by KiM

This modern beach house in East Hampton is tons of fun. Loaded with tropical colours and wallpaper, it is coastal vacationing with a chic, graphic twist. Such uplifting energy in these spaces. Designed by Ghislaine Viñas. (Photos: Jaime Viñas & Mick Hales)

Weekend getaway lodges in Texas

Posted on Fri, 21 May 2021 by KiM

Paloma Ranch consists of twin hunting lodges for a pair of brothers on a seventeen-thousand-acre spread in the south of Texas. (For those who find taxidermy offensive, please skip this post). These photos are from each lodge, designed by Emily Seiders (married to another of the brothers). A comfortable + casual, bohemian + southwestern, modern + organic mélange that doesn’t distract from the beauty of the landscape.

A cottage in The Cotswolds

A little vacation to a cottage as beautiful and soothing and easy on the eye as this one would be a dream. This neutral stone & thatched roof cottage in The Cotswolds is all wood and white and sisal and stone and wicker and linen/cotton….it’s heaven. Available as a location home via Shoot Factory. Nordic Tudor

This Los Angeles Tudor home has a dramatic light and dark situation going on, with most of the spaces having a nordic/scandi pale wood and lots of white and neutrals going on, and then the kitchen takes a 180 degree turn and has several black elements. I love that unexpected pairing, especially when most people would go white in a kitchen (BORING!). Another fab space designed by Freudenberger Design Studio.

Sunday at White Water lodge

We’re still in lockdown so I’m dreaming of escaping to….just about anywhere. White Water lodge on Moonstone Beach in Cambria, CA would be an absolutely fabulous getaway. What a stunning location! Designed by Freudenberger Design Studio.
