This castle is, in my humble opinion, an absolute dream. Its 7 bedrooms, studio apartment, kitchen with fireplace and scullery, numerous bathrooms, glass-enclosed veranda, large barn on 2 hectares are all in really good condition leaving the new owner the time to move in, experience its beauty for a time and then decide what changes to make. Located near the towns of Nérac and Lectoure, and listed with Selection Habitat for €1,166,000.
When I stumbled upon this majestic home for sale in a small town in the south of France called Cintegabelle, my heart skipped a beat. This is what I have been dreaming about for many years. A home that is historic, with modern touches throughout where the 2 blend so beautifully and effortlessly. Add in an orangerie with massive columns, the beautifully landscaped grounds and access to a river and it quite literally my idea of heaven. Listing via Selection Habitat.
It is unfortunate this listing doesn’t have more photos than this but from what few glimpses are available of this incredibly beautiful 17th château in Loudun (a commune in the Vienne department and the region of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, western France), I am in love. Pretty sure I would have walked through that front door, seen the limestone staircase and passed right out. Listed via Denniel Immobilier.

The sales listing for this home calls it a hôtel particulier but I think compound is more appropriate because it is surrounded by walls creating a courtyard. And I loooooooove homes designed to create that sense of privacy for an outdoor space. And those arching blue doors to greet you as you enter the compound…..OH LA LA!!! This home really does have such incredible bones that I can very much see past the underwhelming décor and imagine all the things I could do with this. (Quick notes: it was built in 1690, is 450 m² with 15 rooms including 6 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, is located in Semur-en-Auxois – a commune of the Côte-d’Or department in eastern France and is for sale via Capifrance for 550 000 €)
