I started the week by wishing we could run away to a luxury hotel in Thailand. At the end of the week I’m taking us to Morocco, to Mouassine, the oldest and most traditional Marrakech neighbourhood, to the hidden jewel that is Riad Snan13. Light, white, an oasis of calm in the bustling city. All we have to do is decide what room we want. I’m a bit taken by those teapot lights.

Dear Design Fairy Godmother please grant me three wishes. Wish one I’d like the weekend to go on forever. Wish two I’d like to be relaxing at the Raya Heritage Hotel in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Wish three that you dear reader are staying here too.

There is a verve, a spark to the work of Giuliano Andrea dell’Uva Architetti, that minimalism loaded with colour and personality but remaining true to the history of the building and the site that is so very, very Italian. Perched high above the sparkling blue waters of Capri is a hotel with not just amazing views but inspiring interiors, a perfect example of this style of Italian modern minimalism.

It’s Sunday and I have a day full of errands and preparing for another busy week. Where would I rather be? Perhaps in Paris, enjoying a cocktail at Le Pigalle. I shared some of this hotel in a post last week featuring the designs of Festen Architecture. I can’t seem to get it out of my head so I thought I would share more of this funky hotel. It is exactly the vibe I would expect in this beautiful city. Effortlessly chic.

We have been crushing on Paris-based interior design firm Festen Architecture for several years, because designers Charlotte de Tonnac and Hugo Sauzay create magic with their spaces.
