The Stockholm apartment of architect Daniel Heckscher of Note Design Studio demonstrates quite dramatically the power of paint. Formerly a white box in an ugly building from 1988, he brought in a lot of creativity, which included some help from his 2 young children who must absolutely love spending time here. It is such a vibrant and whimsical home, and quite amazing when you think of how it can be transformed into something completely different with just a couple more cans of paint!

Are you feeling blue?

B-b-b-b-b-blue. Harry Nuriev of Crosby Studios has taken his signature pastels and brass accents and punched them up a notch with a statement royal blue in his own Manhattan apartment. Could you? Would you? Are you feeling blue? I am! Fun, fresh and definitely in your face.

A remodeled home in Colorado

Loving this Denver, Colorado home from the outside in, renovated by architecture and construction firm Design Platform. I really love the simplicity of the exterior and all of the fabulous storage solutions of the interior. And well, every else about this.

A modern black and white penthouse

Posted on Mon, 4 Jun 2018 by KiM

I really love several design styles but modern is not typically one of them. South African interior designer John Jacob is bound to convert people like me with this black and white penthouse that is sleek, glamorous and super sexy. His attention to detail and use of bold artwork has really drawn me in.

Stalking on a Saturday

Posted on Sat, 2 Jun 2018 by midcenturyjo

It’s Saturday and in between coffee dates with friends, grocery shopping and a few hours pottering in the garden I’ve been real estate stalking as I tend to do. I love to see what is waiting behind a firmly closed door or a conservative facade. Like this Federation era townhouse in the Melbourne suburb of Carlton North just a stone’s throw from the city centre. All Edwardian propriety on the outside. All light, bright, modern family fun on the inside. Fuschia pink kitchen anyone? Link here while it lasts.
