In my dreams

Posted on Thu, 17 Mar 2016 by midcenturyjo

In my dreams I live in a farmhouse surrounded by vineyards. It’s a simple but oh so stylish pile. Rustic yet sophisticated, traditional yet modern, surrounded by friends and family, celebrating the beauty in life. My dreams might just look a little like Healdsburg Ranch by San Francisco-based design firm Jute.

The Little Monastery

Hooray for Fridays! The weekend is just about to begin and my mind is turning to getaways. How about a Belgian B&B? Bricks and render and a monotone palette of greys and creams and linen and lush lawns with clipped buxus? We can take tea and relax in the summer house or explore the countryside and be back home in time for work on Monday. OK I’m daydreaming but what a lovely dream. The Little Monastery in Damme, Belgium.

I have completely fallen in love with this apartment. Iconic mid-century furnishings in each room, a sleek and chic kitchen, and a dark, sexy bathroom. By interior architect George Livissianis. Photos: Tom Ferguson

Another dreamy home in France

This home is another stunner by the team of Mis’en scène 40. Tours, France is the location, and every room has something unique to offer. I can’t help but notice that every fabulous French home MUST have a Serge Mouille light fixture.

Rede Place – a modern mews home

Anyone out there with £7 million to blow on a really cool home? This might be the place for you! This 3 bedroom home includes a concrete and glass central core staircase, top floor media area, cellar/tasting room, double garage and rooftop garden. Located in Bayswater, London it was recently refinished with a masculine vibe by Maddux Creative and originally designed by Guy Stansfeld Architects. And I think it’s HOT! Sadly, I do not have £7 million. For sale via Domus Nova.
