New homes tend to be so sterile and void of interesting architectural details. But not when Anne McDonald is on the project. A stairwell with cutouts that make it really pop, a double sided masonry fireplace and some shiplap/paneled walls really help provide an old world, vintage vibe.

After perusing the portfolio of interior and textile designer Sarah Fortescue it quickly becomes evident that fabrics, patterns and colours are quintessential to her work.
Sarah was brought up between Cornwall and South Africa, surrounded by big open spaces and beautiful wildlife. The natural world and cultures of the world have always been the inspiration for her Interior & Product Design. Living in South Africa and Hong Kong Sarah explored exotic parts of the world where she could source textiles and develop her ideas for her interiors and home accessories. Her sense of colour and how she uses it to create harmonious interior spaces is where the true talent lies. We use the world and its cultures as our sourcing pot for inspiration and textile sourcing, but it’s here at home in Cornwall where our team of talented craftsman lovingly create our beautiful products. Our sophisticated and eclectic creations are the perfect way to add personality and bursts of colour to your home, through exciting designs and the highest quality craftsmanship. “Our Coopers Shoot project near Byron Bay was wish fulfilment made real for a young family of four. Our brief was to create spaces that would suit a busy family lifestyle but embrace relaxation, that would work both functionally and beautifully, and that would enhance reflection and embrace entertaining.”

Pink, purple, green, yellow and every shade in between make this home fun, family-friendly, colourful to the max and full of energy. Designed by Atelier ND Interior, it is located outside Amsterdam and owned by actors Guy Pearce and Carice van Houten. How could you not have a smile on your face when you walk through the front door?
