Still stalking

Posted on Mon, 26 May 2014 by midcenturyjo

A beautiful family home in Caulfield North, Melbourne. Light, bright and super stylish, a designer’s own. Love the neutrals, love the colour in the kids’ room and as for the kitchen/family room…. swoon. Link here while it lasts.

Stalking leftovers

I’m very finicky when it comes to my virtual real estate stalking. Fussy, particular, choosy, picky and hard to please. Not quite right, bad photos, more photos please, can’t quite put my finger on it listings but all with something that has me nodding “yes”. Here is my almost made it shortlist for the week. It includes an over the top black and white cliché but OMG it’s all about location, location, a kiln… yes a kiln with chimney stacks in the living room and a second bedroom that’s not really a second bedroom. Stalking a kitchen island

I’m stalking this house for the kitchen. Now you see it, now you don’t island bench and the wall of plants, the view out to the deck and the lovely light. A brick bungalow in Kensington, Sydney keeps its architectural details but is slick and clean lined with its renovation. Did I mention the lovely light? Link here while it lasts.

P.S. It’s a Häcker kitchen.

Stalking the art

Behind a simple fence is a 1930’s house with some 1960’s alterations and a whole lot of style from the current owner. (Referred to in the real estate blurb as an “art identity”. No wonder I love this place.) A little earthy, not too pretentious and chock a block with beautiful art. If I could buy it just as it is in these photos I’d be very, very happy. From the cracked polished concrete floors to the simple master bedroom I’ll take it all. Link here while it lasts.

Stalking leftovers

Busy day. In a rush. You know the story. I’m fussy. You like to look anyway 🙂 Not quite right, bad photos, I need more photos please, house is amazing furniture is deplorable or no furniture at all! Can’t quite put my finger on it listings with something that has me nodding “yes”. This week’s leftovers include a couple of promising houses with a little too much shiny stone, Mr Potato Head prints on a bedroom wall, several trips to the countryside for a getaway, a vine covered warehouse (everything inside must go) and a lovely home where I’m sure the real estate agent pushed all the furniture up against the walls… “It will make the rooms look bigger in the photos.”.
