I will forever be fascinated by the patina and imperfection of an older home. I spotted this raw, rustic beauty on the website Herz und Blut and immediately fell in love. It is the Mecklenburg-West Pomeranian German home of Susann Probst & Yannic Schon, food stylists and photographers. Alblanc is a floral design studio (and official distributor of the Frama brand in Spain) whose atelier is located in the heart of Poblenou, a neighborhood of Barcelona with an industrial history that currently houses a large part of the city’s creative scene. The space was formerly a warehouse for batteries and light bulbs. The renovation was inspired by Catalan and Mediterranean farmhouses. Welcome to the jaw-droppingly gorgeous home in The Hague of internationally sought-after contemporary Spanish painter Lita Cabellut. What was a former warehouse/antique store in the 18th century is now an exquisite example of a restore project that was done soooooo right. I am blown away at the beauty of every room. And make sure you pay attention to the kitchen sink! La Belle Vue is a B&B that is a little slice of absolute heaven in the small village of Neffiés in southwestern France. Built in 1857, Swedish couple Yvonne and Micke purchased the home which had so many beautiful details intact – old windows, stucco, tall doors, fireplaces, handmade tiles in fantastic patterns and a view to die for, and transformed it into a glorious getaway.

A little vacation to a cottage as beautiful and soothing and easy on the eye as this one would be a dream.
