Bright, warm, neutral and an organic vibe in this Barcelona home leaves me smitten. Putxet House designed by The Room Studio. We expanded the upper floors and reconfigured the spaces. This house measuring 700 m2 house in the upper area of Barcelona is large, bright, and functional. Both facades of the house were kept intact, respecting the structure’s original state and paying homage to its history. The large staircase was made on site and functions as the heart of the house. Next to it is located the courtyard, which extends vertically through the house. An industrial style was achieved without losing warmth by using natural woods combined with metals, hydraulic tiles, and microcement.

Everyone is getting into the Christmas spirit and since I don’t decorate for the holidays (I mostly blame the cats because they would play with and try and eat everything) I am living vicariously through others. I am always a fan of how Scandinavians decorate with typically alot of greenery so I tend to devour sites like sköna hem this time of year. This Norwegian home they featured is just how I like my Christmas decor – simple and fresh.

Chicago interior designer Crystal Blackshaw turned this drab older home into an exuberant, playful, approachable space with the help of some paint, tile, wallpaper, bamboo blinds and some warm and graphic fabrics. What a stunner!

Alison Giese Interiors based in San Antonio is all about creating eclectic yet timeless homes with soul. Liveable, comfortable, with a level of class that will endure. This first kitchen is so simple yet gorgeous with a hint of Parisian café chic. Stashing it away in my inspiration folder as I am on the hunt for ideas for my eventual kitchen renovation that needs to highlight my new art deco light fixtures.

This 1908 home in Cambridge, Massachusetts is a wonderful example of showing an old home some love through a well-considered renovation that maintains character and history whilst adding some whimsical touches with colours and wallpapers. The result is a charming and completely approachable home. Designed by Mandarina Studio.
