I have a couple more projects from Lux Design for your viewing pleasure. This first one in black, grey and white is really stylish. It is a small condo that called for smart use of an every-day dining space. A console table serves as a desk and is pulled out as a dining table when entertaining.

Next up – a bachelor pad with some cool features such as a reclaimed barn wood sliding door in the hallway and a custom entertainment unit created from high-gloss resin.

Toronto interior design firm Lux Design creates modern, boutique-hotel type spaces that are understatedly luxurious and sophisticated. They know exactly what they are doing when it comes to small condos and making multi-purpose spaces. With this first project Lux Design was asked for a gender-neutral colour palette and was required to create several zones from an awkward elongated room. LOVE the grey, white and yellow scheme they selected. 

This next project involved a custom-designed walnut office. Beautiful grain that looks amazing against white. That is what I need – a bar right next to my desk. Perhaps that would make me more productive. 😉

Seen in the June/July issue of Belle magazine and admired, no more like greedily coveted, Fairbairn Rd House by Inglis Architects. Open plan, restrained palette, beautiful light, repetitive brick pattern facade and the warmth of wood. Casual, stylish, pared back, modern.

Alexandra Loew

Alexandra Loew‘s work was featured by Jo a couple of months ago and I thought I would revisit it because she has such a talent for creating traditional spaces with a spunky twist. Interiors for discerning individuals and brands which embody visions they had always dreamed of, but never could have imagined. A master of detail, color and history, she sets moods through the juxtaposition of styles, materials and the assembly of important collections. So lovely, and my favourites to come in a later post.
