David Tsay‘s portfolio just screams summer. His photos speak of sun and surf and sand. Long days and warm breezes. Parties and games and friends and fun. You know that old cliché about a picture being worth a thousand words? Tsay‘s work isn’t so much an essay on summer, it’s the weather forecast in the local paper. Sun, sun and fun.

It’s no secret that Jo and I have a huge photographer crush on Paul Raeside. Jo blogged him in ’09 here and I blogged an update in November. He wrote us to say he’s working on this website by adding a ‘pinboard’, which will be in a month or so. I of course had to go poking around anyway and came across a whole pile of yummy photos we hadn’t blogged yet….so many I think I’ll have to do 2 posts today to cover them all. So here you have it – part 1.

Bold and brash and fun and funky. Colour bouncing off the white walls. Soaring ceilings and solid stone. Inside outside bright side white side. What fun! Perfect summer party house? Maybe 😉 Honiton house by Sydney based MCK (Marsh Cashman Koolloos) Architects.

We received a very intriguing email the other day from a reader named Adriaan regarding this post Jo published a while ago of photographer Frederik Vercruysse’s work. Turns out it featured a couple of photos of the home of interior designer Frederic Hooft. Seems he now resides in an amazing 16th century home located in the city of Ghent (having bought it 15 minutes after seeing it for the first time). It’s gorgeous – the vintage modern blend is perfectly juxtaposed against the history of the home. (Source)
