Layers of pattern and colour, the old and the new, classic and chic. Add in a Southern sense of panache and these rooms by Melissa Rufty have my little heart thumping. These are bold and exuberant spaces with a confident and exciting mix of style and personality.

Interiors infused with light. Rooms that embrace the view. Tailored, elegant jewels of spaces. Gardens that celebrate the city and provide a haven from the bustle. New York based interior and landscape design firm Rees Roberts captures the essence of modern living. I adore the subtle colour palette and layered textures and how art is integral to each space.

Sometimes words aren’t enough. Sometimes the pictures, like that good old cliche, do the talking. I am speechless when I look at Patric Johansson’s work. An amazing photographer with a stupendous portfolio. See that’s not enough. You have to go look for yourself at his rep’s site. Love it all.

The Paris-based firm of Laurent Bourgois consists of works in interior architecture and design. They have an impeccable grasp on classic and contemporary styles, and include many ethnic touches (and occasionally modern) in their designs. Below are works that wowed me…2 tiled kitchens with very different vibes, relaxing bedrooms, graphic artwork, it’s cultured yet comfortable.
