A second look

Posted on Thu, 6 Aug 2015 by KiM

I get excited when I come across photos of a home we have featured, but a different rendition. It’s interesting to see how homes evolve with with time. This is the home of Spanish decorator Serge Castella, that Jo featured back in 2012. This time around it is more grey than brown, and a bit darker overall. I think I prefer this version, as I am a sucker for grey and black.

Anna’s small cool apartment

Posted on Fri, 29 May 2015 by KiM

Anna recently moved into a small 527 sq ft apartment in Oak Park, IL and entered her fabulous new pad in the Apartment Therapy Small Cool 2015 contest. I think she has done an incredible job with her small space, using lots of vintage finds for a unique, shabby chic vibe. And because I love it so much, I think you should all go and vote for her in the contest HERE before it ends in a few hours. We don’t often promote this but I am making an exception for a home I think is really worthy. So please go vote for Anna’s pad!

Damien Langlois-Meurinne

Posted on Thu, 12 Feb 2015 by KiM

I regret not titling this post “Lighting porn” as these spaces by French designer Damien Langlois-Meurinne are outfitted with some of the most spectacular lights I have ever seen. And some of them are designed by Damien himself. These rooms are glamorous and luxe, but the lighting takes them to another level. They are pieces of art, making a statement.
