It’s been in the family for years. It was their grandfather’s house. Now with the help of architect Manuel Aires Mateus, João and Andreia Rodrigues have created a simple and stylish get away in Montemor-o-Novo, Alentejo, Portugal. Casa no Tempo, minimalism meets rural idyll. Rolling fields, wildflowers, cork grove, horses, pool. I can see the perfect weekend far from the madding crowd. If only I could runaway.

A beautiful family home in Caulfield North, Melbourne. Light, bright and super stylish, a designer’s own. Love the neutrals, love the colour in the kids’ room and as for the kitchen/family room…. swoon. Link here while it lasts.

Jemy Massie and Emily Ellis are the California interior designers behind Studio Revolution. They call their look “hipsticated, gritty, dramatic, not-too-pretty”. I love it. Touches of Scandinavian, modern, industrial, and lots of black – my favourite colour.

Stalking inner city Paddington in Sydney and what do I find? A  funky hipster redo of a classic terrace house. It should be cool. It’s the home of an interior designer or at least that’s what the listing says. Go on. Tell me who they are if you know. Did I just type that? Oh now I’m worried. Stalking just got a little creepier.
