“When design minded individuals connect in the way we did with our Rotterdam Terrace client, magic happens.”
From the six-meter windows and pooling linen curtains to the oak fronted kitchen with its green and caramel coloured stone countertops. From the white painted, exposed rough brick to the expanse of smooth concrete floors. Brass details, vintage leather, filmy track screening of windows and wardrobes. Pared back with a wabi sabi meets modern vibe. Rotterdam Terrace by Dutch firm Avenue Design Studio.

It’s like I say time and time again. If you have to drag yourself into work on a weekend it helps if it’s somewhere stylish. Thérapie Clinic by Kingston Lafferty Design.
(P.S. Our thoughts are with those who cannot go to work at any time because of the corona virus emergency. Stay safe and sound and may we all be able to swap “war” stories after the crisis has passed.)

A holiday home in the Mexican city of San Miguel De Allende by PPAA (Pérez Palacios Arquitectos Asociados) looks inward on a series of patios. A study of voids and 3D spaces the house is not so much introspective as it is oasis and retreat. A fascinating study of light and shade, solid and void, public and private.

A guest room or a peaceful sanctuary? Perhaps both. I know if this room was mine I certainly wouldn’t leave it just for my guests. You would find me curled up on the bed with a book or engaged in a little gossip over tea with friends. An elegant retreat indeed. Hamptons Showhouse Guest Room by Michael Del Piero.

Dream of a contemporary home, sleek lined and modern, with all the luxury finishes but family friendly? Dream of open plan with walls of glass opening to manicured garden with pool? Does a monochromatic black and white palette punctuated with hits of colour from standout art works ring your design bell? Well perhaps this architect designed home for sale in the Melbourne bayside suburb of Brighton is just right for you. Now if we could just convince the vendor to leave their art collection behind 😉 Link here while it lasts.
