Feminine glam in an apartment in France

Posted on Wed, 7 Aug 2019 by KiM

If you’re a fan of glamourous and dramatic interiors with a feminine touch I think you’re going to love this renovated apartment by Lyon, France designer Claude Cartier. Pink, grey, black, white and an unexpected touch of blue make for a beautiful colour palette. If I didn’t love Cole & Son’s Fornasetti Nuvolette wallpaper before I’m now DYING to use it on a ceiling. Also, the photo above is a great example of hot to use paint in a simple yet unique way. STUNNING!!!

Blue sky delight

It’s that time in Australia where winter skies are the brightest blue and the days warm enough to believe that winter might just be over. Doors thrown open, water views that sparkle, days that lengthen, promises of summer fun made. I can’t think of a better place to farewell winter, embrace spring and dream of a long, long summer than this beautiful Vaucluse, Sydney house with the charming name of Bohemia. A light and spacious rear conversion

“The Studio May aesthetic is anchored in a refinement of palette and texture to create a sophisticated, yet warm and inviting environment that is time resilient.”

The brief for this inner Melbourne house was to increase space and volume within a small footprint and with a limited budget. The solution was to open up the back of the Victorian era cottage, creating a clean lined contemporary open plan space, minimalist with an emphasis on quality. Love the light that floods in as well as the vaulted ceiling and exposed beams.
