“A former ballroom is the setting of this exquisitely designed two-bedroom apartment. It is situated on highly sought-after Courtfield Gardens in Kensington, with a private balcony terrace overlooking a verdant churchyard square, to which it has resident’s access … The design seizes on the dramatic scale offered by four-meter ceilings and huge south-facing French windows at the front aspect.”

Apologies for posting more amazing homes from The Modern House. I had no idea that Kim had posted one of their properties yesterday until after I had uploaded these fabulous pics but I don’t think you’ll mind. I mean look at this apartment! The soaring ceilings, the Crittall wall, that verdant balcony with views over a churchyard AND all in Kensington. Out of my price range but a girl can dream. Massimo Adario and Italian architecture

Once again I applaud the creativity found in European architecture and design and in this case it is at the hands of Rome-based architect Massimo Adario. Glorious inspiration. And if this isn’t enough, Jo featured a Venice home he designed here that is absolutely incredible.

An exceptionally unique Paris apartment

Someone once left a comment on a post about a Paris apartment: If life were at all fair, we would all have an apartment in Paris at some point in our lives. That post happened to be designed by Italian designer Fabrizio Casiraghi. This one is one of his latest projects in the 7th arrondissement, with architectural details that will blow you away. And I go back to that comment, with the belief that nothing could be more truthful. How is it fair that something this stunning even exists? With classical details and a vibrant yet not overdone and very unique colour palette, this is a dream. (Photos: Cerruti Draime)

Interior designer Flora Soames added so much personality and family-friendliness to this stunner of a country home in Gloucestershire. It’s absolutely stunning with bits of period art and furnishings mixed with some bright colours and wallpaper and a gloriously large kitchen that I am head over heels in love with.

Modern classic farmhouse

Posted on Mon, 14 Sep 2020 by KiM

We can’t seem to get enough of modern farmhouse homes, and this one is no exception. especially the kitchen – that yellow zellige tile is unexpected touch and absolutely gorgeous! Another impressive project by Landed Interiors & HomesIn this Silicon Valley town near Menlo Park, we designed a home from the ground up for a young family. The clients were inspired by modern homes with Shaker simplicity and classically casual interiors. Working from the outside in, we consulted on exterior materials and window specifications, then worked with an open plan to specify the interior architecture and all finishes, creating the backdrop for traveled artwork and furnishings. The verdant palette, with its honey yellow and deep green, was hand picked for its natural cheerfulness. Modern farmhouse design finishes including contrast millwork, shiplap cabinets and trim, simple tile layouts, and a stair railing made from hog wire, traditionally an exterior material, were interpreted in a contemporary style.
