Francis Smith

Posted on Tue, 9 Dec 2008 by midcenturyjo

So who clued me in to the work of Jennifer Flanders? Why the photographer Francis Smith (although he’s at pains to point out that one or two of the shots on her website aren’t his). I first featured Francis’ portfolio last year with his amazing shots of the 2007 Hampton Designer Showhouse. And 2008? These are the shots he captured of this year’s rooms created by some of America’s leading interior designers. Francis you see has worked with the best as his portfolio attests. Actually we have unwittingly posted his work many times on this blog. Don’t miss the rest of his portfolio. Great talent great shots!

It’s been a little while since we posted animals on furniture so thanks to Alyson for sending me the link to this photo she found on Flickr. (Amazing chair!)

Jennifer Flanders

From rich raspberry to surprising pinks, cool greys to classic Hamptons’ blue and white Jennifer Flanders’ bold colour palette enhances her luxe look. Her bedrooms have a casual yet classic boudoir feel while the living areas are richly layered with texture and pattern. The look is fresh and youthful while being timeless and sophisticated. (And the photogragher? More of him soon.)

David Jimenez , at it again

Posted on Mon, 8 Dec 2008 by KiM

I’ve posted about David Jimenez in the past, here and here, and he’s gone and done it again. He sent over some incredible photos of his latest project in Palm Springs. Mid-century meets Hollywood Regency – stunning furnishings, lighting and colours that mesh together so gloriously. Fabulous!! So David, when can I move in??

Take a bow (again) Nick Carter

Posted on Mon, 8 Dec 2008 by midcenturyjo

We love a good photographer. Sometimes we love them more than once. Nick Carter has taken a few bows on the stage here on Desire to Inspire. See our earlier posts here and here. And what do we love more than a great photographer? A great photographer who updates their website regularly. (I still love his wedding portfolio!)
