Be prepared to emit a huge sigh when you see the photos below. They are from the portfolio of Swedish photographer Mari Eriksson. Although these days white makes me think of snow which makes me think of shovelling, these photos of white spaces are so peaceful and serene. *SIGH* Yep, there it is.
This is another of my posts researched for purely selfish reasons. Seems I am on the market for yet another new sofa. This time I think I (with some help) will make one. I have ALWAYS wanted a low and loungey mattress-type sofa, considering 98% of the time I spend on my sofa I’m sprawled out with my laptop or watching TV. Something super comfy is just what I need. My fifties vintage turquoise sofa is not jiving at all with the new kitchen, and it’s not big enough for 2 to cuddle on. I found quite a few examples of lounge sofas in my photo stash and I’m hoping in the near future I will be the proud owner of one.

Just a little something to brighten up your day. I’m in love with prop stylist Michele Michael’s work. It’s fun and young, bright and light, fresh and clean lined. These are rooms that aren’t afraid of colour but are also calm. She’s worked for mags like Real Simple and O the Oprah Magazine, House and Garden and Country Living. Enjoy!
Lisman Studio Interior Design is based in Salt Lake City and is made up of several talented designers. Their style is contemporary and is so well suited to a broad range of tastes. Very versatile, comfortable and so easy to love. My favourites – the graphic patterns, hits of warm colour and the glass display cabinets along the top of their kitchens.
I’m so lucky here in Australia. We have some of the best house magazines in the world. Lots of great homes featured, loads of big fat juicy pictures, resources, trends and the magazines aren’t three quarters full of ads. My favourites include Vogue Living Australia, belle (it’s about time they got a website) and Home Beautiful (this is improving leaps and bounds) but I guess if I had to name my all time favourite it would be a tie between Real Living and the magazine I’m featuring today – Inside Out. These are from their digital sampler. Just enough eye candy to get you hooked into a subscription and there’s nothing better than flipping through the pages of an Australian magazine.
