Thomas Kröger

Berlin architect Thomas Kröger. Love the brevity of line, the use of positive and negative, the clean minimal look accentuated by colour. These are stylish contemporary spaces that are strong in their subtlety, clever in their use of materials and colour blocking to delineate and accentuate.

Ultimate bachelor pad

In keeping with the maculine/bachelor pad theme, the following “man cave” in Sao Paolo, Brazil was created by architect Carol Leães and it’s a pretty sweet space that any dude would be proud to call home. Complete with pool table and Porsche book strategically placed on the coffee table.

Leclair Decor

Back in September I blogged the home of local Ottawans Sacha and Melissa who were launching a new interior decorating business, Leclair Decor. It seems this new venture has taken off and they sent along photos of their latest project dubbed Ogilvie Condo. I’ll let you read the juicy details on their blog, but this condo is the perfect for the first home of a young male professional. Quite the bachelor pad with oodles of modern funkiness. Love all the wallpaper – brings in so much texture without being too bold. Fantastic job Sacha and Melissa!

I Love Architecture

Too cool! This apartment design in Amsterdam is by I Love Architecture and what’s not to love. Open plan, white space anchored by substantial timber benches and a wall of kitchen storage. Yellow pendants pop from above punctuating the open space and defining areas. Cave like black tile is used to delineate the ensuite while white stairs levitate up to a rooftop chill out space. Confection perfection

Soft and fresh. Whimsy matched with confidence. Comfort and a place of refuge but with personality and playfulness. Part grown up, part fantasy but always the perfect place to hang with friends or chill out. This teenage girl’s room in the Pasadena Showcase House of By interior designer Maya Williams. Beautiful details, sophisticated yet youthful colours. It’s a room fit for a princess and just right for a stylish young thing.
