Monday’s pets on furniture – part 1

Posted on Mon, 25 Jun 2012 by KiM

If you’d like to send me photos to include in next week’s “pets on furniture” post, please ensure your photos follow my basic rules: First, the pet must be on a piece of furniture. And said piece of furniture must be clearly visible in the photo, so it takes center stage rather than your pet. Think of it more of a photo of a great piece of furniture that you want to show off…and your pet happens to be sitting on it. And second, the photo must be of decent quality. If it’s dark or fuzzy (from a camera phone) then it may not make the cut. Photos, your name, location and a brief description can be sent to desiretoinspirekim@hotmail.comand PLEASE don’t send closeups of your pet! Thanks!

I would like to submit a picture of my poodle Ben.  This pic was taken a couple months ago right after I rescued him from an animal hoarding/puppy mill situation in Minnesota.  I swear its not staged at all – that’s just how he sits.  I was working on a project, turned around to check on him and then ran to grab my camera.  It actually inspired me to start a pet photography business Le Caniche Fou which means “the crazy poodle” which he very much is.
Dawn (Washington, DC)

Featuring Puck (Weimaraner) and Room and Board Reese Sofa! We hadn’t planned on letting him on the sofa… but he was so darn cute and cuddly we couldn’t bare thought of denying him the pleasure! 🙂
– Danielle (Miineapolis, MN)

Here is Cukierek (“Candy”) our enormous cat resting in his favourite place on our Ikea Manstad sofa. Sometimes he looks just like another pillow…
– Julia (Gdansk, Poland)

Elly’s chair!
– Deni (Adelaide, South Australia)

Catalina & Cayla (left) are my two foster pups (shepherd collie mixes), Maddy on the right is my own lab mix.  This is my greeting each day when I leave the bathroom.

the bf, carl kitty, and ting and hazel(the huskies); proof the dark blue bedroom paint is restful.

Oh, oh, dears, I know these adventures in seeing things very special without glasses very well .. is it the dog who likes a drink or .. .. 🙂 Nice post again. For me today is very special because doggie Rudi from our local animal shelter I have taken care of for about one year now has found a new home. I couldn´t take him home because of big cat Paul 😉 Perfect lovely home with a young couple that can take Rudi with them to office, they are wanderers and forest workers and they like to go on holidays with him. We are all sooo lucky. Rudi is a street dog from Chicago and now in Germany. He has an amazing story of life.

I second Janne's post. Could we see more of Danielle's home?

And the poodle is perfect and I don't even like poodles.

JUURI says:

I love the Weimaraner's pose! So suave! Hahaha <3

TieDye64 says:

Love them all. Ben the poodle had me cracking up! Lucky dog to have been rescued and taken in to live the good life.

Puck the Weimaraner is a vision!!!!! What I gorgeous languid pose, worthy of a Vogue spread to be sure. You should print it big in Black and White and frame it. Thanks Puck, you're so money and you don't even know it!

Jessica Livingston says:

Puck is absolutely stunning, and the sofa isn't bad either (ha)! He and my Fenley would make a darling Weim couple. Your place looks great, Danielle!

Tracey says:

OK seriously, that poodle is too much!! Must think he's human!
I love your idea of posting pics of animals on furniture. The photos are always so much fun to look at!
Thanks for creating such a great blog!

Love Monday's posts! Betsey's sleeping beauties is a great shot!
