For as long as I can remember I have been obsessed with loungey areas in a home. Which is why I had to feature this fun little lounge area next to a kitchen in a home designed by Sharon Neuman. Have an unused corner in your home somewhere? Even in your kitchen? Throw some upholstered foam mattresses down and some pillows and I bet it will become the favourite hangout! I can imagine hanging out in this one with the cats while reading a decor mag and watching my husband cook me dinner. 🙂

Sharon Neuman is a brilliant architect, interior designer and product designer from Israel. Modern and streamlined, she adds interest with unexpected angles and lighting, keeping spaces open and as bright as possible. I’m taking notes…

Magic

Once upon a time, in a land far, far away lived a photographer of great renown. His talent knew no bounds. His images were awash in soft light. His compositions just so. His portfolio prodigious. He was in fact a magician, a sorcerer of light and a weaver of dreams. His name… Romain Ricard.

Anastasia Faiella

A big thanks to Anastasia of Faiella Design for sending us photos of her interior design work. Based in San Francisco, Anastasia’s philosophy is simple: “Living in beauty is loving the home you live in”. Her contemporary style is timeless and elegant, with muted colours that draw you in and envelops you in warmth and tranquility.

The last couple of photos are from Dining By Design San Francisco 2012 – Anastasia’s collaboration with architect Andre Rothblatt – her hubby (whom it turns out I featured on the blog a while back). 🙂
