Sara Tuttle

Posted on Thu, 17 Oct 2013 by KiM

I’m not quite done with the eye candy. Now it’s thanks to Washington interior designer Sara Tuttle. Her classic, fresh and bright designs are what she is known for, with an eclectic blend of antiques, colours, textures for spaces that definitively catch your eye. This ain’t your nanna’s living room!

Eye candy for your Thursday

All I need is eye candy today. Something to break up the monotony of the work week. Something to make us rethink everything we believe is good interior design.  These should do the trick, by photographer Eric Staudenmaier.

Want to play?

If I was a child I couldn’t wait to mess up this beautiful play area by Sydney architect Madeleine Blanchfield. Even if it wasn’t a play area but my mum’s chill out zone I still couldn’t wait to mess it up.

Love, love, love, love, love, love the portfolio of Amsterdam based, British photographer James Stokes. Won’t waffle on. No need too. Fab!

StudioAB

Anna Burles of commercial and residential interior design studio StudioAB has a quirky, eclectic style that I absolutely adore (minus her apparent love of taxidermy). The first four photos are of singer Ellie Goulding’s central London apartment. Simple yet dramatic and edgy. The next couple of photos are the apartment of an ad exec guy – the taxidermy sheepdg was donated by his owner (a farmer) and given pheasant feathers so he could fly for eternity. Bizarre, but I appreciate the arty randomness of it.
