Ron Woodson and Jaime Rummerfield of Woodson & Rummerfield have been wowing Jo and I for years. I think we featured them for the first time about 11 years ago and haven’t since so it’s about damn time for a refresher! I love their bold, sassy style – classy and modern with quirky details for some funkiness. Exhibit A – that green stair runner with leopards. Not many homes can pull that off but how freaking fun is that?!
There’s nothing naked about this fabulous kitchen by Brit bespoke kitchen designer/manufacturers Naked Kitchens except my naked lust for its stone island, the simple lines of the cabinets and its rustic meets industrial meets contemporary vibe. Not kitchen love more kitchen lust.
Bucolic bliss with just the slightest touch of boho in Bedford, NY by Virginia Tupker Interiors. Tupkert, who has worked for House & Garden, Vogue and Vogue Living has a passion for textiles which she uses deftly as a counterfoil to the rustic stone and old boards in this old carriage house. It’s rough yet refined, cosy yet chic. The perfect country getaway without the country kitsch.

Over the Christmas holidays I was pretty busy shooting photos around my house. Reason for that was last Friday I had the absolute honour of having a house tour feature on Design*Sponge. !!!!! And because I only randomly feature photos of my home on here, I thought I should share a bunch of the photos here for you folks as well. You can check out the tour here which includes descriptions of each space and a list of resources. I am fortunate to have been included on Grace’s blog before she shuts it down in August. D*S has been around even longer than our beloved DTI so this is really sad to hear. Thank you D*S and particularly Kelli Kehler whom I worked with on this feature. Now on to the photos…
If you would like to participate in the Monday’s pets on furniture series please send photos, your name, location and a brief description to kim[at]desiretoinspire[dot]net, or hashtag your photos on Instagram with #DTIpetsonfurniture. Thanks!

The following photo is from my sister Jen. I bought this pink chair at Highjinx for my niece for Christmas. The story over the holidays was that my sister and brother-in-law had to carry the heavy chair around from room to room because my niece insisted on lounging on it wherever she was. Now the story is Spencer, one of their 3 cats, has discovered it and has claimed it as his favourite spot. (The print above it was a gift from me a while back from Stay Home Club)
And some from me. The best captures of my herd are on the bed, so here’s another one where some serious cat puddles were happening (on my Magic Linen duvet cover).
Felix loves the Green Light District chair.
Lucky isn’t ancient as far as cats go, but he’s been showing his age lately (14?) so I’m giving him scritches and shooting his adorableness as often as I can. Here he passed out at my spot at the dining table.
