A Toronto penthouse in pink, black and white

Posted on Thu, 28 Feb 2019 by KiM

This Toronto penthouse is what I would call feminine glam, with lots of white and accents of pink and black, and some really fun wallpaper accent walls for drama (and photo ops). So fun! Designed by Studio P InteriorsOur client is one of the top YouTubers in Canada, and one of her main requirements was to make every angle of this penthouse photo-worthy. We designed a large-scale custom trim pattern on the living room/lounge ceilings to create interest above, art deco inspired custom wall paneling in the master bedroom, with contemporary furnishings and art throughout the interior. Custom kitchen with spanish quartz stone, contrasted with matte black faucets and lighting, as well as unique black marble handles. The marble-inspired tile on the living room fireplace was one of our favourite focal points, running the tiles vertically to create drama and height, finished with a sleek gold edge. Fully custom master closet design with brass accents, back-lit shelves, and glass enclosed shoe shelves. Lastly we introduced pattern and texture through a variety of chic and edgy wall-coverings –also great for photo backdrops.

A holiday villa in Mykonos

Posted on Thu, 28 Feb 2019 by KiM

A vacation in Mykonos would be a dream come true. Spending it in a house like this would be EPIC! By one of my absolute favourite designers, Hubert ZandbergA re-vamp of a project we first did years ago for one of our longstanding clients and friend, urban jewellery designer Diane Kordas. The villa is now the perfect setting for home entertaining with its touches of glamour from the 60s and 70s creating a luxurious feel, but still in keeping with the client’s desire for a clean, contemporary, casualness – a retreat of barefoot luxury.

(My last feature of Hubert’s work is here if you want to keep the eye candy flowin’!)

Amagansett dreams

Posted on Wed, 27 Feb 2019 by midcenturyjo

I think in a parallel universe I’m rich and summer in the Hamptons but not in your usual Hamptons’ home. No I live in a house that is timeless yet contemporary, full of colour and killer art. The front door is purple, a big yellow canoe hangs in the entrance and my love for midcentury shines through. In a parallel universe Timothy Brown Studio designed this Amagansett home just for me.

Vaucluse Residence

It’s all about colour, texture and shape in this Darlinghurst, Sydney residence by Triibe. Oh and chairs. Warm hues of browns and cognacs, terracotta and sand. Sensuous curves and boxy consoles. Polished concrete against chunky rugs, layered with leathers and velvet. A tactile feast.
