Take a boring, highrise apartment completely lacking character, add lots of bold colours and patterns and artwork and you have yourself a knock-out! This Harlem apartment by designer Anthony George proves you can add so much personality and interest though paint and carefully curated furnishings, art and accessories.

Colour and pattern in the Napa Valley

If the last house was all about restrained colour palettes and minimalist vibes allowing the old house to shine this one is all about colour and pattern in a new build. Think more, more, more and perhaps just a little bit more. Even with so much going on the house is not visually cluttered. In fact its clean contemporary lines are the perfect foil to the extravagance. What a fun house to grow up in! St Helena, Napa Valley by ETC.etera.

A designer’s own home where a tired 1930’s Mediterranean style house was gut renovated to become a calm almost zen like space that eschews the flashy, glossy modern Miami look. The bones remain authentic and the look is timeless and inviting. The Coconut Grove Residence by interior designer Constanza Collarte of Collarte Interiors.

An architect’s château in France

Posted on Sun, 12 Sep 2021 by KiM

For the record I don’t think this is an actual château but since it sure looks like it could be one I’m going with it 🙂 This is the summer home of Argentinian architect Luis Laplace and his partner Christophe Comoy. (It was Christophe’s grandmother’s, and they purchased it when she passed away. It had been in their family since the French Revolution) . It was built in the 17th century and is located in the Gaillac region of Tarn, France. This home is an absolute dream inside and out.
