Let’s take a little trip. To Ukraine, a country with a vibrant design scene that we seem to have overlooked. How remiss of us. To make amends I present this amazing 180 sqm apartment in the city of Odessa by Kiev-based architectural firm 2B.GROUP. One bedroom with a walk-in-wardrobe to die for and a bathroom I’d be “lucky” to own. Love the panelling on the bedroom wall which, if you look carefully, is electrical wiring. Love the bookcase wall, the concrete, the exposed brick, the change in levels and materials to define rooms, the luxury in this small space living.

I could not stop at just one project by London interior designer Hubert Zandberg. This pied-à-terre in Le Marais, Paris is just about the coolest little apartment I have ever seen. Once again, it is fabulously eclectic but this time a bit more theme-y, with industrial touches, and a colour palette of black, grey, white and green. So cool!!!

This space above proves Hubert is the KING of fantastic bathrooms. Another one I am totally swooning over. 

Fabulous artwork, furniture classics, freaky little figure perched on two chairs. A light touch was employed by Melbourne design firm Molecule when reworking this South Yarra apartment. Walls were removed or added but not everything was ripped or remodelled, bespoke joinery added and a minimalist shell designed to showcase an amazing contemporary art collection. I wouldn’t change a thing… except maybe that freaky little figure perched between two chairs.

Moody, masculine, modern. Sophisticated with a rough edge. Shiny dark floors and floor level mirrors confuse the boundaries and make this warehouse apartment look larger as do the full height doors. Slick with exposed brick by Architect Prineas.
