Greenwich Loft

Start with a quintessential NY loft. Leave the shell neutral with an emphasis on soaring windows and loads of light. Add in classic furniture and bespoke pieces anchored by rugs. Keep accessories to a few standout pieces of art and warm everything with touches of wood and rich textures. What do you end up with? My perfect loft by Studio Giancarlo Valle.

Jo shared the 17th century, 3,300 sq ft Milan palazzo of designer Vincenzo De Cotiis a few years ago and I recently stumbled upon it again and because it truly is one of the most exquisite homes I have ever seen I wanted to share it again. This is what taking the time to peel back years and years of layers can get you. And when you leave it raw and untreated, it is absolutely magical and something to be revered for years to come. (You can read more about it here and here)

Clean and cohesive. Modern and minimalist. A mix of custom and vintage. It’s a fabulous refurb in the NoHo neighbourhood. Bond Street Apatment by Home Studios.

Passing it on

An inter-generational change of hands meant not only a contemporary makeover for this Park Avenue apartment but that interior designer Jeremiah Brent was asked to honour the family matriarch, the previous occupant. The starting point was a stellar collection of Mesoamerican pottery and the statues crafted by the husband’s mother.

A flat in Madrid where art steals the show

A mid mid-century modern and a bit traditional. Isabel López-Quesada mixing things up once again in this latest project of hers. A flat in Madrid with lots of personality where art takes centre stage and colour accents are aplenty.
