Give me Haussmannian apartments any day of the week and I’ll be a happy camper. This architecture is incredibly inspiring and makes the rest of the decor shine. Like in this apartment designed by Agathe Convert in collaboration with Amélie Buvat. A mix of dark and light paint colours, and the prettiest pink I’ve ever seen on the kitchen cabinets. Lots of built-in storage solutions makes this space functional on top of being gorgeous.

Art can really have a dramatic impact on a space. Take this apartment with fairly unremarkable architecture and mostly white walls. The art really stands out when there are no distractions and adds a really upscale, classy mood. By Brooklyn designer Danielle Colding.

A light filled Soho Loft

Posted on Fri, 28 Aug 2020 by midcenturyjo

I started the week with a Hamptons beach shack getaway by Marie-Christine Design. I’m going to finish it with another of her designs. What’s as iconic as a Hamptons vacation home? why a Soho loft of course! Lots of light flooding in through tall windows, white painted exposed brick and that dining room. Swoon!

A designer’s Milan loft

Posted on Wed, 26 Aug 2020 by midcenturyjo

Part gallery, part apartment, all style. The Milan loft home of Tommaso Spinzi of Spinzi Design a Milan and Melbourne based interior design firm is inspirational and aspirational. I think I’d take one of everything from contemporary to design classics from the 70s and 80s. It’s my kryptonite.

More drama and colour from Daria Vasilkova

Posted on Tue, 25 Aug 2020 by KiM

This apartment was given a makeover with bold colour combinations and lots of drama care of Moscow’s The Art Group by Daria Vasilkova. Customers did not want to start from scratch, it was only necessary to add the fresh energy to the old walls. We were to make it full of vibrance, free and open, but meaningful and welcoming at the same time. This is a space for a family of young, beautiful, creative people with children. Ethnic motifs, antiques, natural wood, innovative, offbeat ideas in furniture design, whimsical lamps – everything turned out to be close in spirit to our customers.
