In the end, this 25 m² studette turned out to be generous and clever. It has been reinvented with a space that revolves around a bedroom with a dressing room hidden by its glass roof and opening onto a small bathroom. The entrance hall with its small desk, the living room with its two benches and the kitchen with its work surface worthy of a large one, take place around this room. Once the false ceiling was removed, the flat gained in height and the play of perspectives pushed back the walls. In keeping with the principle of marking the different living spaces with different colours, 4 shades are used side by side to give the sensation of wandering through a lively and multiple space.
It is evident designer Marianne Evennou had a lot of fun figuring out what to do with this tiny apartment and I am in awe of how large it feels and how much glamour it now exudes. The beautiful colours are the icing on the cake. (Photos: Grégory Timsit)

I love an interior design show house. It’s the perfect place for designers to push the boundaries and explore ideas that have been tumbling around in their brains. They’re a show and tell, a veritable fountain of inspiration. Brooklyn Designer Show House by interior design firm Chused & Co.

Toronto interior designer Barbara Wigmore has captured my attention and heart with her modern, warm and contrasting spaces. I am eating this up.

The designer Christian Lyon calls this project Another World. Another world indeed. I’m transported to a land of luxury and style. A chic and sophisticated home in my dreams.

When dealing with a small space, DO NOT think you need to avoid average/large sized furniture and colour and pattern. In the case of Cath Beckett of design firm Yellow London, her 2 bedroom flat in Notting Hill, London is bold and quirky and has things like a large sofa in the middle of her living room, and a wacky wallpaper (Pierre Fray’s Plein Eté) in her teeny dining room. Her space is super cozy and full of personality and I could not love it more.
