A small Paris apartment

Posted on Tue, 5 Apr 2016 by KiM

Living in a small space doesn’t mean you have to compromise on style. This little Paris number designed by Elodie Sire of D.mesure is all you really need. I mean, it is Paris after all. You will never be home anyway. (Check out some previous features of her work here, here and here)

Someone yesterday left a comment that it seems just about EVERY post highlights work that showcases only white walls and themes. I would like to prove this person wrong with this post of spaces by Australian interior designer Cameron Kimber. Only featuring a few white walls. “Three words dominate my designs: comfort, relaxation, and elegance. My aim is that every room in the house has an over-all look and feel of comfort and relaxation with certain panache – a touch of the unexpected but always being very polished.”

A couple more projects by Noz Design

This chic kitchen needs to go in all of your inspiration folders. A lesson on how to turn a boring, outdated kitchen into extraordinary. The living/dining rooms in the second project are fun, stylish spaces with bold pattern and colour accents. Ping pong or dinner? You decide. Via Noz Design.

What a week! PHEW! These warm, serene spaces filled with earthy, soothing shades of cream, grey and brown are absolutely stunning and the ultimate way to start into the weekend. I really love Michael Del Pietro‘s style (as does Jo – see last couple of features here and here) and her vignette below is HOW YOU DO THAT. Happy Friday!

When eclectic is hot

Posted on Sun, 13 Mar 2016 by KiM

This is a prime example of eclectic décor that is totally random yet perfectly executed to create chic, sexy rooms. This Madrid apartment was featured in the latest issue of Nuevo Estilo (AGH I could not find this mag while I was in Puerto Vallarta!) and was designed by Isabel López-Quesada. This talented lady does not follow rules and trends, and I admire her for that. The dining room above is my favourite space – SO HOT!!! (Check out Jo’s past features of Isabel’s work here, here and here)
