A colourful Hell’s Kitchen penthouse

Posted on Tue, 12 Feb 2019 by KiM

This project was a colour exploration for designer Nicole Watts. She was inspired by her client’s Indian heritage and wanted to do a modern twist on colour, without it being overwhelming. I think this was a huge success! Especially with that Kelly Wearstler Graffito fabric on the dining room wall!

Eclectic and colourful granny chic

Posted on Thu, 31 Jan 2019 by KiM

Eclectic and colourful, with an overtone of granny chic. Which makes this home absolutely to die for because I love all of those things together. This is such a mash-up of styles, and the colours are so beautiful I can’t stop staring at these photos and inspecting every intriguing inch. Congrats to Chloe Warner of design firm Redmond Aldrich for turning this San Francisco carriage home into something spectacular.

A colourful modern Tudor

Posted on Thu, 31 Jan 2019 by KiM

Bold and colourful patterns in wallpapers, curtains, pillows and artwork are set against a neutral backdrop in this lively and inviting modern Tudor home designed by Dallas-based Abbe Fenimore of Studio Ten 25. It is really inspirational to see a designer take a fairly ordinary home and have alot of fun with it.

A spacious pied-à-terre in Paris

I love the idea of a second home/cottage/pied-à-terre – a home you can be brave with and do all the things you wouldn’t dare do in your primary residence. The owners of this pied-à-terre live in London and needed a space in the heart of Paris. Maéma Architectes took what is a beautiful 130 sq m structure, did a bit of re-working and added alot of charm and creativity in a Jonathan-Adler-esque style that is a bit quirky, colourful and fun.

Woodson & Rummerfield

Posted on Wed, 23 Jan 2019 by KiM

Ron Woodson and Jaime Rummerfield of Woodson & Rummerfield have been wowing Jo and I for years. I think we featured them for the first time about 11 years ago and haven’t since so it’s about damn time for a refresher! I love their bold, sassy style – classy and modern with quirky details for some funkiness. Exhibit A – that green stair runner with leopards. Not many homes can pull that off but how freaking fun is that?!
