It’s not your usual luxury. Yes there are rich colours and high end finishes. Velvet sits with marble, gleaming metals reflect statement art. Yes it’s sumptuous and tactile, lush and sophisticated but it’s just a little edgy, a little sharp. It’s the new luxe. Diagonal Residence by Barcelona-based interior designer Jaime Beriestain.

Sssshhh! I’m stalking the home of Bonnie and Neil, the Melbourne-based studio creating beautiful hand crafted products for the home. I don’t know why I feel so coy. It’s not as if I know the owners but I’ve been a serious fan of their work for years. Now I get to see how they live in their own home. Think bright and colourful, botanical prints, artwork and their signature wooden tiles. It’s fun and fresh and it could be yours. Link here while it lasts.

Talk about a fun and bold kitchen! From the Tiffany Blue cabinetry to the tropical wallpaper and let’s not leave out the black and white hex tile patterned floor. This is jam-packed with personality. Via Toronto Interior Design Group.

While I anxiously await the project that never seems like it is going to happen (the creation of a library in my third floor unused space), I can only hold back pangs of jealousy when I come across projects like this by Sophie Lallias of Atelier Sofi(A). She created a bedroom and library and left a narrow staircase to access the rest of the apartment. 3.5 metre high bookcases allow for maximum use of a very small space and the result is TONS of book storage, a workspace and a cozy bedroom. Love the vibe in this home designed by L.A. based designer Barbie Palomino. Some dark paint choices make it moody, with furnishings that give it a groovy, mid-century feel. I dig all of this.
