I was originally only going to use the first photo below for this post because I REALLY love the space, but then I fell in love with the circle theme going on (especially the huge paper pendant hung low, mimicking the circle in the painted brick). I am SOOOO in love with this house. The mid-century modern vibe interior, the random and quirky exterior and OHHH that outdoor covered hangout nook complete with fireplace. Hooray! Squarespace is working again. For a few hours there I watched a circle go round and round and round while the blog didn’t load. Not anymore. It’s time to stalk a modern home in Kew, Melbourne. I’ve been stalking it for hours… and hours… and hours. Now it’s your turn. A little bit brutalist with hard concrete surfaces but softened with rugs and art and furniture. Soaring ceilings and cosy spots. Love the backyard too. Once again a great campaign by the real estate agents Marshall White including a video that sells the house even better than the photos. Link here while it lasts.

This home in Holland Park, London, is EXACTLY where I would dream of living if I had the opportunity to go British. The exterior is absolutely breathtaking. This apartment occupies the full ground and lower ground floors of this double fronted Italianate villa. The contemporary decor in neutral colours works so well. And how about that kitchen! I’m not sure I’d want to be cooking at the stove staring at the wall but for some reason I’ve always been drawn to a layout like this. Love the island lighting strip too. I was super excited to stumble upon the website of Austin, TX architects Andersson-Wise. Why you may ask? One of their projects just may be my future home (the home before the jump….well, a variation of it anyway, and minus the water view dammit). Their homes are rustic and modern and works of art. Each one a dream. Well, my dream anyway. And how cool is that house lined with wood stacks?
