“This federation home is located on the WA coastline and the extension was designed around a young family of 5. The coastal context and lifestyle formed a strong part of the client briefing. We aspired for a casual feel with original design outcomes that complimented the existing federation style architecture.”
A wonderful modern coastal interpretation in Cottesloe, Perth … The Beach House by LAHAUS.
This modern home in London is an absolute gem, with one of my dream features – a central courtyard (complete with 2 story plant wall!), that even includes a footbridge to join the entrance to the sitting room at the rear. The home’s structure is perfect for displaying art and mid century furnishings in a minimalist, gallery-esque way. Available as a location home via Shoot Factory.
The home of Connecticut-based designer Denise Davies of D2 Interieurs is part Hollywood Regency (Kelly Wearstler-esque), part glam, all modern, with patterns and some bold colour choices. I am particularly fond of her living room – what’s not to love about glossy white walls and a pink/gold wallpapered ceiling?

It can be daunting taking on the renovation of a house by a renowned architect but Perth-based interior design studio LAHAUS, known for their refined, functional spaces created a sophisticated aesthetic with casual undertones. The emphasis is on a modern materials palette and a monochromatic colour scheme.
This apartment may be small but it has everything a plant lover could need (aside from maybe a garden LOL). The yellow/green/chartreuse-y shades colours bring it all to life and add so much energy. It’s amazing what paint can do. And plants. Another project by Studio Paradisiartificiali.
