I have been a fan of Courtney Nye‘s designs since featuring some bits of projects here and this kid’s playroom. This mid-century home is a dream with tons of windows letting in all kinds of natural light (If this were my home I would have an obscene amount of plants) and the timber ceiling that feels right at home while living amidst the trees. The mid-century modern vibe of the decor suits this home perfectly.
Renovations took this Coogee, Sydney duplex apartment from ground floor flat to modern house with great outdoor living. New layout, new kitchen and new bathrooms within, pool and entertaining space out, all the time respecting the building’s history by combining old and new. A fabulous example of making the most of what you’ve go. New work from Madeleine Blanchfield Architects.

In my dreams you’ll find me here, kicking off my weekday worries at the door like a pair of shoes. My hardest decision at this Palm Beach house on Sydney’s Northern Beaches would be whether to stay in or venture down to the village or perhaps to one of the two beaches just minutes from the door. In my dreams life is really tough. You don’t have to use your imagination though. The Pavilion House is available for holiday let through Contemporary Hotels.
A new barn-like extension to this Melbourne family home sees the new sit sympathetically with the old. Light and bright with a Scandi influence, the new spaces are made richer by the use of a statement blue. How cute is that little nook? I can see the kids jostling to claim ownership. I couldn’t make up my mind which house by Houston-based interior designer Marie Flanigan to share with you so I chose my favourite rooms from several. Rooms that are timeless and elegantly simple. You can find more inspiration on her website.
