Stalking on a Saturday

Stalking a stylish renovation of an art deco apartment in Double Bay, Sydney. Tastefully restrained with water views and drowning in beautiful light. One little surprise though. The ensuite or rather where the owners have built it. Balcony bathing anyone? Perfect for the exhibitionists. The rest of us can roll down the blinds. Link here while it lasts.

It’s one that got away. A time capsule of 60s cool. Stepping down a sloping block in Fern Tree, Tasmania is this brick and glass split level designed by David McGlashan. A tweak of the bathrooms and kitchen, move in my West German pottery collection, switch on the Bitossi lamps and rub the danish oil all over the teak table. I’d be in heaven. Alas I missed it but can still dream. Link here while it lasts.

Stalking zebra

This was in our inbox earlier this week… “Thought you might want to feature this beach house for a property stalking post. I think it’s all awesome except the animals on the walls.” I happen to agree. I could happily move into this Red Hill South home set on open acres with tennis court and ocean views. Just think I might have to move the zebra and definitely the goat to somewhere less obvious. Perhaps to one of the nearby vineyards. Yes tennis court, ocean views and a short stumble to vineyards. I would normally say “Link here while it lasts” at this point but the link has disappeared. Oh well at least I saved the pictures first. A big thank you goes out to fellow real estate and zebra stalker Markus  for the original link.

5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, leafy courtyard. Living large in the inner city with a  large price tag. I’m stalking in Darlinghurst, Sydney. So close to the central business district that you could almost wave to the office workers. Perhaps that’s why in its previous life this beautiful old home was a commercial business, albeit a stylish landscape design business.  First link here while the second is here.

A little studio apartment with a stylish wall unit/seating combo in Centennial Park. The perfect virtual crash pad for my imaginary shopping trips to Sydney. Someone has already snapped it up though. Sold. Link here while it lasts.
