Mark Cutler Design

Posted on Sat, 10 Mar 2007 by midcenturyjo

During the week I received an email from an interior designer in L.A., Mark Cutler. He grew up in Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Now he’s an amazingly talented designer with a celebrity clientele, a great portfolio and a blog where he showcases his work, reveals sources, helps with design questions and gives great advice. Here are some of my favourites from his portfolio. And don’t forget to click over to his blog. You’ll love it!

My wunderkammer wanderings led me to D’Ette Cole’s site. Amazing, inspiring, at times confronting for the minimalists of you out there. If clutter is not your thing look away now.

Alex Papachristidis of Alex Papachristidis Interiors is an incredible designer. His style has been described as “a dynamic fusion of the modern and eclectic with the luxurious and traditional”. These photos from his website are absolutely FABULOUS. His designs have a Jonathan Adler playfulness to them that I just adore.

A woman of style

I’ve decided to look beyond my mid century vibe and explore other styles. Elizabeth Maxon runs Elizabeth House in St. Louis, Missouri. Her apartment is amazing, her table inspiring and her small business advice sage. Elizabeth is a women of style. Don’t miss her blog.

PS If you’re starting out in your own small retail business look for Elizabeth’s shop talk – good advice.
