Just as our first white house celebrated it’s stylish simplicity so does this contemporary house on Sydney’s northern beaches. Even though it doesn’t sit in a field of waving grasses tree tops and expansive blue sky are captured through a feature celestory window. Light and airy, open plan living perfect for the Australian climate. Skylight House by Rachel Hudson Architecture.
Simple beauty rising from a field of grass. As elegant as it is straightforward. An oasis of white with shutters to control the amount of Texas sun entering the tranquil interiuors. Round Top Farmhouse by Houston-based Murphy Mears Architects.
This lovely home is the Shelter Island, NY summer oasis of John and Christine Gachot, of design firm Gachot Studios. I love the casual, earthy vibe here, especially the painting studio that occupies a former carriage shed. What a fun spot to hang out and enjoy the summer weather.

The more we feature homes from the stunningly beautiful island of Ibiza, the more I want to visit. Last year Jo shared this villa by London designer Hollie Bowden, and she has another gorgeous Ibiza home in her portfolio I wanted to share. Located in San Carlos, this country estate and guest villas are set amongst tropical gardens featuring 8 bedrooms with en suites, sauna, gym, games room and cinema. Wood and neutrals with worn textures against white is all you need with all that beauty beyond the walls.
Is it a dream? A Tuscan farmhouse under a hot summer sun. Inside the rooms are starkly beautiful, a counterpoint to the blazing heat. A cool oasis that soothes the soul until, pow, a punch of pink in the modern, metal kitchen. Fabulous living in the beautiful medieval town of Capalbio by Rome-based designer Ilaria Miani.
