Last month I featured an edgy loft by interior designer Lukas Machnik and thought I would share another of his projects. This time the scene is quite different. A house on the beach in California is given a modern yet earthy with lots of creams, wood and black accents. Some mid-century modern classics are a reminder that this isn’t your average beach house. My favourite elements are the dining table and benches that he designed. Gorgeous!!

I’m location home-ing again this Sunday with this ray of sunshine from Shoot Factory. A beautiful and bright five bedroom detached family home with 3,000 sq ft over three floors. It is simply decorated yet so pretty with walls and moldings painted white and additions of colour through furniture, art and textiles.

Simone Haag “likes to think of a house as a blank page, an empty book – boundless, full of possibilities – a story wanting to be written, a tale waiting to be told.” In the case of this Melbourne house she has penned a best seller. It’s a collaboration between stylish fashion director client and designer, the end result being a sensationally chic and fashion forward house. That living room sends shivers up and down my spine and did you notice the gradation in the dining chairs? Sigh!

I’m always a fan of style mixin’, and in this apartment in Gdańsk, Poland it starts with some some classic moldings, chevron hardwood floor, a clawfoot bathtub and some exposed brick. This is all modernized in bright white with added built-ins, mirrored walls (storage perhaps?), contemporary furnishings and lighting and some funky tile work. A very dynamic and stunning space designed by Anna Maria Sokołowska. (Photos: Fotomohito)

A match made in heaven, white accented by natural finishes and a neutral highlight. Always fresh. Always fabulous. Pacific Palisades by Jeremiah Brent.
