Swedish neutral apartment

Posted on Wed, 18 Apr 2012 by KiM

My twin sister sent me a link to an awesome little Swedish apartment for sale. According to the photo of the plans it’s a studio but has all the amenities – decent sized kitchen, a great built-in desk, lounge chair for TV watching, washer/dryer and a balcony. What’s even better is the decor – it’s everything I’m obsessing with these days – black/white/touches of wood, industrial lighting, white tiles with dark grout, linen…..

Dramatic volumes, softened by curves, spaces that seem to float on air, spectacular views matched by privacy and intimacy. Energy and luxury. A relaxed ambiance built with high end finishes. A dream space with dream views. An amazing multi level house perched on the side of Lion’s Head in Cape Town, South Africa. By SAOTA – Stefan Antoni Olmesdahl Truen Architects and interior design by OKHA Interiors.

Massucco Warner Miller +1

A foundation is laid with textures and patterns. Colour and metallic accents take it up a notch. Vibrancy and a youthful energy lift it even further. It’s sophisticated and elegant and fun. Love the work of interior designers Massucco Warner Miller. A fabulous living room first up and a few more rooms I just had to share. (Original post on Massucco Warner Miller here.)

A dream vacation

Catarina sent us a link to a hotel her father worked on, located in Portugal (less than an hour from Lisbon) close to her parents’ home. It’s absolutely gorgeous and would be a complete dream vacation. It’s called Areias do Seixo. They have rooms of various styles to suit everyone’s desires – from modern to rustic/earthy to vintage/glam. They also have villas complete with kitchen, swimming pool and BBQ. Yes, I think I could see myself settling in here quite nicely. 🙂
