More from Jordens Arkitktur, but this time appreciating the outdoors. I love living in the heart of the city but damn these make me want to throw in the towel and move to the sticks.
Some creative googling recently led me to the website of Stockholm architecture firm Jordens Arkitekter. This is a creative bunch who really knows how to maximize space and creates dwellings that allow the homeowners to fully appreciate their surroundings – more on that in the next post. (I have to say that the FULLY carpeted bedroom has left me thoroughly perplexed though…)
A little escape to Switzerland to this chalet by Andreas Fuhrimann Gabbrielle Hächler Architects. Concrete, plywood and views from the beanbags. A minimalist, modern twist on the traditional. Love the staircase and its storage. Love the reinterpretation of the historic vernacular.
This was in our inbox earlier this week… “Thought you might want to feature this beach house for a property stalking post. I think it’s all awesome except the animals on the walls.” I happen to agree. I could happily move into this Red Hill South home set on open acres with tennis court and ocean views. Just think I might have to move the zebra and definitely the goat to somewhere less obvious. Perhaps to one of the nearby vineyards. Yes tennis court, ocean views and a short stumble to vineyards. I would normally say “Link here while it lasts” at this point but the link has disappeared. Oh well at least I saved the pictures first. A big thank you goes out to fellow real estate and zebra stalker Markus for the original link.
Some cool work from the portfolio of Jacobo García-Germán, a talented architect based in Madrid.
