Yet another loft

Posted on Fri, 12 Dec 2014 by KiM

To end off loft madness week (this was totally unplanned) I wanted to share this former warehouse with you (I think it is located in Montreal). This one has lots of great industrial touches – also with help from some exposed beams and ductwork and what appear to be original concrete floors. I would be perfectly happy living in a space like this. Via Decormag

Holiday decorating at a minimum

Posted on Thu, 11 Dec 2014 by KiM

I often think most Christmas decorations are cheesy, but this home has the perfect minimal amount of non-Christmas-y decorating. This is the bright and bohemian 850 sq ft Toronto rowhouse of Jeannette Seymour who, with help from her sister – stylist and cookbook author Sasha Seymour, decked her halls for the holidays in a very non-traditional way. A family loft in Brooklyn

It is a loft marathon here at DTI this week! WOHOO! I happened to have found another one over the weekend while on a google search marathon. I came across it via the website of editor/stylist/designer Rebecca Robertson, who designed this Dumbo loft (along with her husband Marco Pasanella) for a family of 4. It is such a fantastic space with exposed brick painted white, an eclectic mix of furnishings and art, and the cutest display of café au lait bowls. My obsession with lofts will never wane if I keep finding such great spaces! Photos via Remodelista by Matthew Williams.
