A renovated barn in Quebec

Posted on Mon, 19 Aug 2019 by KiM

In Mont Owl’s Head, Quebec, lived an old barn that had lost its way and fallen into ruin. The owners (who live in an adjacent home), wanting to save the barn, decided to have it renovated so their children could enjoy it. La Firme was brought on board to bring it back to life and the resulting 30 ft height structure is the coolest hangout in town.

The cat is literally out of the bag. 🐱✨ — We decided to add one more baby to the crew. We never planned on getting a kitten but I *accidentally* came across her photo through a rescue on Facebook and fell in love. When you know you know. We’re in love now. — We haven’t introduced the dogs yet. Hoping that it goes ok. I know it’s going to be hard at first but we’re doing it SUPER slow (she’s in the guest room only for now). I want her to hear the sounds of the dogs and vice versa. I’ve let them peek through the door and she seems less fond of them then they do of her. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!! — We still haven’t decided on a name for her. We were thinking about Nora or Monet. Leave some name ideas below 👇🏻 . . . . . #handmademodernhome #trimtreasures #homeandhealing #dtipetsonfurniture #dspetstyle #bhgpets #theeverygirlathome #myhgtv #kinfolkhome #darlinghome #iheartthishaven #doingneutralright #lonnyliving #smpliving #homesohard #stellarspaces #catsonfurniture #apartmenttherapy #thedecorsocial #betterhomesandgardens #ltkhome #mymodernlook #simplystyleyourspace #anthrohome #mycollecteddecor #mysmphome #prettylittleinteriors #interieurjunkie

I'm papering the back of these bookshelves with blue grasscloth to try to create more depth and cohesion in this corner. I've had the idea and the wallpaper for three years so I don't know why today is the day, but it is. If I like it, I'll put a photo in stories. If I don't, we'll just pretend it never happened. Deal? . TGIF! Hope you have more exciting plans than I do! . . . . . #makehomematter #ragdollsofinstagram #verandamag #elledecor #myvintageabode #mytradhome #interiordecor #southernliving #interiorstyling #eclecticdecor #myfleamarketstyle #heyhomehey #myrefinedhome #schoolhouseliving howwedwell #roomhints #howyouhome #recyclerestyle #ownyourdecor #stellarspaces #mystoryindecor #revampingvintage #sorealhomes #myinteriorvibe #howihome #myeclecticmix #realhomes #cornerofmyhome #thriftlikethemakerista

My name’s Leticia and this is Athena! She’s a Norwegian Forest Cat and has 11 years old! She loves to take sun baths at the balcony and to play with her mouse toys.
We are from Sao Bernardo do Campo, Sao Paulo – Brazil!

Some from me. As I was running out the door one morning last week I snapped this quick photo of Frankie laying on a table of cushions that is destined for my in-progress she-shed. And only one cat missing one Sunday morning, making it hard to get out of bed surrounded by so much cuteness. A bonus: I stopped at Highjinx one day after work and sweet Zed jumped onto one of their tulip festival tulips.

Church ruins converted into a modern home

Posted on Sun, 18 Aug 2019 by KiM

I know I have probably said this 254 times in various blog posts but I really need to say it again. I think I found my dream home. Let me give you some details and you’ll see why….
Located in the beautiful and peaceful countryside of North Norfolk, the property sits in 7 acres of wooded grounds. The single storey property is built around a courtyard attached by glazed walkways to a chapel ruin. The property offers 3400 sq ft of living space including an expansive kitchen, dining, living room with exposed brick work, steel and oak ceiling, polished concrete floors and an open fireplace.  This room opens onto the courtyard garden via a glazed wall. Outside the property is a 2 acre walled garden with a beautifully constructed garden room opening onto the pathways and wildflower/herbaceous planting. There are majestic ancient trees, paddocks and woodland walks. I left out most of the interior photos because the decor is questionable, but the property is an absolute dream, and the interior has SO much potential. Another fab location home available via Shoot Factory.

Working on a Saturday

Like I say time and time again. If you have to drag yourself into work on a weekend it helps if it’s somewhere super stylish. No one would be dragging me if I worked at
Williams Burton Leopardi. Their Adelaide design studio is , as they put it, “the place where the majority of our time is spent, a space to be inspired, a space to be outgoing, a space to retreat, a space to collaborate, a space to ‘live life well’…and a space to love!”.

Care for a drink?

For a girl who can never keep wine around long enough to store properly can we talk about this cellar by Studio Gorman? We know there must be some treasures on those shelves because it’s hidden behind a secret door. A fabulous rustic cavern for quaffing only the best.
