Vincent Darré’s Paris office and showroom

Posted on Wed, 13 Jan 2021 by KiM

You may still be wrapping your brain around what is going on in my last post but I am smitten so I’m about to stir things up even more with what seems to be Vincent Darré‘s Paris office/showroom. The woodwork alone is making my heart skip a beat. Lawd half mursey!

Paris designer Vincent Darré is the king of surrealist, maximalist interiors. His creativity is limitless and the combination of his bold colour choices and exquisite furnishings with Parisian architecture makes for truly unique magical spaces. This is his apartment and it is wild!

Nicole Hollis defines her design tenet as a “holistic design philosophy for the home, which thoughtfully balances a modern spirit of innovation with a timeless reverence for great craftsmanship. She masterfully blends the simplicity of line with organic complexity to create warm, refined spaces.”

It’s about carefully curated, beautifully elegant, understated interiors.

Art, mid century and tile

Contemporary art contrasting with original midcentury design pieces, mixed with bespoke pieces. Add in original features such as elaborate cornices, wall panelling and tile, highlight all with soft light filtering through floor to c ceiling windows and what do you get? Gallery? Home? Perhaps both. Barcelona II by Miquel Alzueta.

Pale and earthy in a Mallorca home

Posted on Mon, 11 Jan 2021 by KiM

What a serene, earthy, charming home this is! Located in Mallorca, this 250m2 residence is so relaxing and comfortable, and would be so pleasant to come home to after a long day at work (or as things have gone over the past year, to work from home in). Designed by Meritxell Ribé and Josep Puigdomènech of The Room Studio.
